Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner - Cardiovascular Surgery; Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular Surgery for our client in Kansas! Responsibilities Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgery coverage managing 6-10 outpatient and 2-10 inpatient cases weekly. Perform independent endoscopic vein harvesting utilizing the Maquet Vasoview system to augment the cardiothoracic surgery service line. Work weekend scheduled clinical hours plus beeper call (Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AM). Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation and patient care management. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with independent endoscopic vein harvesting skills (Maquet Vasoview system). Active Pennsylvania state license (willingness to license accepted). Active ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Schedule Coverage Needed:

9/25-9/27 and 10/30-11/1 (ASAP - Ongoing; searching for 2 weeks per month availability).

Shift Structure:

Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AM (Scheduled Clinical Hours plus Beeper Call).

Credentialing Time Frame:

Temporary privileges available with a clean file. Skills Advanced clinical proficiency in inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgical patient management. High expertise and independence in endoscopic vein harvesting using the Maquet Vasoview system. Strong capability in executing weekend beeper call responsibilities across surgical and clinical settings. Proficient in Epic EMR system navigation and accurate clinical documentation. All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
