Physician Assistant / APRN NIGHTS Kansas Heart Hospital - 3.5 Wichita, KS Job Details Part-time 13 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification Advanced practice provider First aid and CPR Full Job Description Kansas Heart Hospital is looking for a part-time, night shift, APRN or PA. Hours would be from 6pm - 7am.

Job Qualifications:
Education:
BA/BS, MS
preferred. Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program. Minimum of one-year experience as a physician assistant, preferably in clinic setting. Current state of Kansas PA license, certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, or, Current state of Kansas APRN license, certified by the Kansas Board of Nursing. Current CPR certification.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assesses patient health status including, wellness, compliance with care plan, determines appropriate screening, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Provides acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring therapies, giving injections and medications, suturing wounds. Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems. Responds to emergencies including use of CPR. Documents patient information and care provided in patient record and maintains department statistics. Uses computer to access/enter needed data. Educates patients and families as appropriate. Provides continuity of care. Consults with other staff as necessary. Maintains patient confidentiality.
Knowledge of:
acute and chronic care protocols, administration of medications, delivering physical care following treatment plan. cardiovascular care protocols how to assess patient health and measure/record physiologic and growth indices. health promotion principles and techniques and patient learning measurements.
Skilled in:
gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic and emotional patient data. accurately evaluating patient problems in person or via phone and providing appropriate advice, intervention or referral. evaluating and revising care plan based on patient changes.
Ability to:
make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner project a pleasant and professional image develop health education programs and materials. work collaboratively with all members of health care team. Other duties as assigned.
