The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our patient care team, assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with a variety of neurological conditions under the supervision of our experienced neurosurgeon. As a PA/NP in our office, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, providing high-quality care in both office and surgical settings. You will contribute to patient assessments, pre-operative evaluations, post-operative care, and follow-up visits. Responsibilities Patient Care:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations, take medical histories, and perform physical exams on neurosurgical patients. Assist in

Diagnosis & Treatment:

Collaborate with the neurosurgeon to develop treatment plans and perform diagnostic procedures, such as imaging interpretation.

Pre- and Post-Operative Care:

Manage pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care, including wound care, medication management, and patient education.

Patient Education:

Provide counseling to patients and families regarding conditions, surgical procedures, and recovery processes.

Surgical Assistance:

Assist in the operating room as needed, providing support during surgical procedures.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the neurosurgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver the best possible care to patients.

Requirements Education:

Physician Assistant (PA) - Must hold a Master's degree from an accredited PA program. Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Must hold a Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP program.

Licensure/Certification:

Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Certification by NCCPA (for PA) or national NP certification (for NP). BLS and ACLS certification required.

Experience:

Previous experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, or related specialties preferred, but not required. New grads with a strong interest in neurosurgery are encouraged to apply.

Skills:

Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients and staff. Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care.
