Pay package discussed upon application; other benefits include flexible scheduling and professional support What You'll Do Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults in a cardiovascular surgical unit Support emergency room call coverage for urgent cases Manage post-op patients (approximately 15-20 per day) Collaborate with a team of 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 APPs Assist with procedures such as CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and valve replacements Contribute to a surgical volume of around 90 procedures per month What You Need Valid license and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Prior experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations Excellent communication and team collaboration skills About the Assignment This role supports a dynamic cardiovascular surgery team performing complex procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafts, thoracotomies, and aneurysm repairs. The APP will be integral to inpatient care, surgical consultations, and emergency coverage, ensuring seamless patient transitions and high-quality care in a busy surgical unit.
