We are seeking an experienced, motivated Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Physical Medicine team. The ideal candidate is passionate about musculoskeletal medicine and enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment where quality of care and meaningful patient interaction are prioritized. The Opportunity The Physician Assistant will work closely with our physicians and multidisciplinary clinical team to provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with a broad range of musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who wants to develop or further their expertise in musculoskeletal medicine, orthopedics, pain management, and/or sports medicine while working alongside experienced physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations. Evaluate and diagnose patients presenting with musculoskeletal injuries, pain, and dysfunction. Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and the multidisciplinary care team. Manage patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, including spine, joint, muscle, and tendon-related disorders. Participate in the evaluation and management of sports injuries and conditions affecting active individuals and athletes. Provide ongoing follow-up care and monitor patient progress and functional outcomes. Educate patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, rehabilitation, and strategies to improve function and quality of life. Collaborate closely with physical therapists and other members of the Point Performance team to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Assist with appropriate in-office procedures and treatments within the scope of practice and individual training and competency. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation. Communicate effectively with patients, referring physicians, and members of the clinical team. Participate in a team-oriented environment that values good judgment, initiative, independent thinking, and problem-solving. What We Are Looking For Current Physician Assistant certification (PA-C). Active Maryland Physician Assistant licensure or eligibility for Maryland licensure. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in musculoskeletal medicine, orthopedics, pain management, sports medicine, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills. A genuine interest in musculoskeletal health, physical function, and patient outcomes. Basic knowledge and interest in diagnostic ultrasound, musculoskeletal anatomy and guided injections. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A collaborative approach to patient care and a strong commitment to teamwork. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
