September 16, 2026 Northwest Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Surgical team in Randallstown, Maryland.About this role:
Work under the direction and supervision of an attending surgeon to support patient care across hospital floors, the Emergency Department, and other clinical areas. Provide direct and indirect patient care while prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes. Collaborate proactively with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Coordinate patient care among surgeons, referring physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers. Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform physical examinations. Order and prescribe medications, laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, IV fluids, diets, activity levels, and other patient care orders as appropriate. Assist in surgical procedures by handling tissue, providing surgical exposure, using instruments, suturing, tying, and achieving hemostasis. Respond to the Emergency Department to manage and assist with trauma resuscitations. Educate patients on discharge instructions, wound care, medication use, dietary recommendations, and other aspects of post-hospital care.
