Works in surgical operating rooms and surgery departments, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations.

Job Description

MaineHealth Waldo Hospital in beautiful Belfast, Maine is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Surgical Associates team. This position is a full-time position caring for patients in the outpatient Surgical office as well as in the operating room. We seek PA's and NP's who are looking to work in a fast-paced environment caring for various medical conditions as part of a patient centered team. Providers work collaboratively with our surgical teams including General Surgeons, Anesthesia, Orthopedics and ENT Providers. The ideal candidate will provide consultations in the office as well as assist on procedures in the OR.

Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
?Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Graduate of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant program.
License/Certification:
?Maine PA License and DEA. Experience in the operating room. 2 years' experience as an PA is preferred.

Total compensation packages may include, based on eligibility, recruitment payments, relocation assistance, shift differentials, productivity-based incentives, quality incentives and other premiums. The pay range for this position is $119,000 to $154,000 annually based on the candidate's level of experience.
