Job Description
Description APP Emergency Medicine Redington-Fairview General Hospital (RFGH), a 25-bed critical access hospital and a 2025 "Best Place to Work in Maine" award recipient, is seeking an experienced preferred Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a Full-time position in our Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality rural emergency medicine as a vital member of our collaborative team. Our 24/7 Emergency Department serves over 30,000 residents across Somerset County. You will work alongside our supportive team of board-certified emergency physicians and fellow APPs to manage a diverse and engaging mix of cases, making a direct impact on our community. Our department is equipped with a state-of-the-art central monitoring system and a helipad for rapid LifeFlight transfers, ensuring our team can provide the highest level of care possible in a rural setting. Key Responsibilities ? Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries. ? Work in close collaboration with emergency physicians, nursing staff, and specialists. ? Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and perform procedures appropriate for the emergency setting. ? Stabilize and prepare patients for transfer to tertiary care facilities as needed. ? Ensure clear communication with patients and families and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation. ?
