Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health System is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Trauma Surgery team at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. This role provides inpatient care for trauma and surgical patients, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, consultations, daily rounding, and care coordination. The APP will work collaboratively with trauma surgeons, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This day shift position requires some weekend coverage, has no call responsibilities, and offers the opportunity to practice in a fast-paced trauma surgery environment while caring for a diverse and complex patient population. Qualifications1 year of Trauma experience as an APP requiredNP or PA graduate from an accredited programCurrent (or in-process) Michigan licensureNational certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)

Education & TrainingPhysician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) LicensureCurrent licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required).
