A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Available shifts: Weekend availability, Monday to Friday, 8-10 hour shifts Qualifications Physician Assistant License (Required) Clinical experience in Emergency Medicine/ Urgent Care or Family Medicine is preferred.

Supplemental Pay:

Bonus pay Responsibilities Obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. Give physical exams to make correct diagnoses. Determining abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results. Greet patients and gather medical information. Work with Physicians, MAs and medical staff to prescribe and administer treatments. Document and update patient records. Refer patients to specialists as needed.
