Job Description Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant providing comprehensive cardiology care in a 50/50 inpatient/outpatient setting at Henry Ford Health Jackson. This full-time position welcomes new graduates and offers mentorship from experienced cardiologists.
Outpatient ResponsibilitiesConduct pre-operative cardiac clearances for surgical patientsManage hospital follow-up appointments and post-discharge care coordinationPerform same-day heart appointments (patient flow triaged by RNs)Provide general follow-up care for established patients under cardiologist supervisionMaintain continuity of care and patient educationInpatient ResponsibilitiesRound with cardiologists on hospitalized patientsConduct follow-up consultations to ensure adherence to established care plansCollaborate with the cardiology team on clinical decision-making and patient managementSchedule & LogisticsFull-time position: 40 hours per week, day shiftWeekend coverage: Approximately 1 in 4 weekendsNo on-call requirementsTravel between two locations (5 miles apart) 1-2 times monthly on the same day
