The position involves primarily functioning as a trauma hospitalist rounder, with potential for ED consults, trauma activations, and procedures based on experience. Work is in-house only, with no call requirement, from May to July, averaging 10-14 non-ICU and 6 ICU patients daily, and 2-15 ED admissions/trauma alerts in a 24-hour period. Candidates must have MN licensure, ATLS, PALS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of inpatient trauma or ICU experience. Responsibilities include responding to trauma alerts, managing discharges, facilitating ED admissions, and daily rounding on all patient conditions. Preferred procedures include non-invasive ventilation management, chest tube placement, central/arterial lines, and suturing. Compensation ranges from $130-$145/hour with flexible hours up to 40 per week. The setting offers a small-town atmosphere near Minneapolis, with access to parks, events, and city amenities. Ideal candidates are fully licensed APPs with trauma or ICU background seeking a temporary, full-time assignment.
