A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this opportunity is $113,880 to $170,830, with a median salary of $142,355. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees. Independent and collaborative management of a range of spine concerns in inpatient, outpatient, peri-operative, and surgical settings Management and running of an independent schedule Management and interpretation of spine related studies including imaging, labs, tests and procedures and prescribing of medications Between visit care coordination and management of acute issues Educate patient/family on diagnoses, management, and peri-operative topics Function as first or second assist in the operating roomQualifications Required:
Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program and certified or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Licensure or eligible for licensure as a PA in Minnesota; certification and prescriptive authority Ability to drive to multiple locations Current CPR certification through American Heart Association, or within 90 days of hire Successfully pass the written generalist examination every 6 years from the initial date of certification.Preferred:
