Community Information:
Fairview Health Services is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join the multi-specialty practice at M Health Fairview Clinics - Riverside . Join a group of physicians interested in staying on the cutting edge of their field and participating in quality improvement committees.
Practice Details:
Join a team of 8 physicians and 2 WHNP Surgery and procedures performed at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and Ambulatory Surgery Center Home clinic located at M Health Fairview Clinic - Riverside, with the opportunity to support additional satellite clinic locations as needed Full time (0.8 FTE) Average of 20-24 patients per day in clinic Schedule details: 4 day clinical work week - includes clinic, surgery, on-call time, and administrative time
Call Coverage:
1:9 shared equally Established referral base of Fairview employed primary care and sub -specialty physicians. Responsibilities Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care. Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs. Consults with and make appropriate referral(s) to other health care providers in abnormal or unusual cases. Refers within the Fairview network. Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope. Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies. Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service. Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques. Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed. Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service. Participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in designated department. May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in designated work unit. Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management. Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Participate in teaching responsibilities within a university hospital setting. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited

Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program Board Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMS Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota Meet threshold criteria/qualification for Credentialing and Privileges
