Job Description
Stellis Health is looking for a full-time Orthopedic Clinical Assistant to join our team. Join the team. And the family. With locations in Buffalo and Monticello, we are a well-established multispecialty practice that is dedicated to remaining community focused.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Assistant is responsible for supporting Orthopedic physicians and providers in the coordination and delivery of patient care following established protocols within their scope of practice. Essential Functions Room and prepare patients for orthopedic clinic visits, including obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and pertinent medical history. Prepare exam rooms, supplies, and instruments for patient care and procedures. Assist the provider with exams, procedures, splinting, casting, and other in-office treatments as directed. Assist with coordination of follow-up appointments and surgery scheduling. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, appointments, and other clinical needs under the direction of the provider. Manage incoming patient calls, return messages, prescription requests, and clinical questions, escalating concerns to appropriate provider as necessary. Obtain and document pertinent patient information in the EMR in a timely and accurate manner. Adhere to strict patient confidentiality guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
