A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description
For Physician Assistants/Physician Associates:
Master's degree (or higher) from an accredited Physician Assistant/Physician Associate program. Currently licensed physician assistant in good standing in the state of Montana or eligible to obtain licensure in Montana. Current NCCPA certification. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a PA. For non-PAs:
Must hold a MD, DO, or PhD. Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field. Proficiency in basic computer technology and the ability to learn new course learning management system(s), learning platforms and educational technologies. Must have the ability to occasionally travel to clinical sites within the state and region to conduct on-site student assessments. Preferred Prior faculty experience at an accredited physician assistant program. Prior experience teaching or precepting physician assistant and/or medical students. Previous experience teaching in the basic sciences. Previous administrative experience. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
