Back Surgical Critical Care/ Trauma Physician CaroMont Health Gastonia, NC Feb 26, 2026 Full Time Physician & Surgeon Job Description CaroMont Surgical Associates is recruiting a highly qualified individual to join four general surgeons and four critical care / trauma surgeons in an established and busy practice. Surgeons are supported by twelve Advanced Practice Providers. Call will be a ratio of 75 / 25% of General to Critical Care Surgery. There is also the opportunity to incorporate an elective surgical practice. Qualified candidates must be board certified or board eligible in surgical critical care with a desire to make significant contributions to a dynamic program. Individuals completing a surgical critical care fellowship are encouraged to apply. CaroMont Regional Medical Center, an independent, not-for-profit healthcare system, has a 476-bed main campus with a dedicated Level III Trauma Center located in Gastonia, NC, along with a brand-new state-of-the-art satellite facility in Belmont, NC. Both campuses are less than 15 miles from Charlotte, NC. There is tremendous support from Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery, and administration. The Emergency Department is staffed by full-time, board-certified physicians treating over 100,000 patients annually.
