Job Description

Location:

Morehead City, NC Pay $95k-$115k Salary (pay could be more for the right candidate) Hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday

•Preferred at least 2 years experience

Key Responsibilities Patient Interaction:

Greeting patients, collecting medical histories, and assessing current symptoms

Examinations and Diagnosis:

Performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as bloodwork and imaging, and making accurate diagnoses

Treatment and Prescriptions:

Collaborating with physicians to prescribe medications, administer treatments, and develop individualized care plans

Patient Education:

Instructing patients and families on lifestyle changes, self-care techniques, and preventive health measures

Monitoring and Follow-up:

Tracking patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and referring patients to specialists when appropriate

Documentation:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations Work Settings PAs can work in diverse environments, including hospitals, clinics, outpatient facilities, skilled nursing homes, and telemedicine platforms. Some roles may require travel to patient locations or providing care in specialized units

Qualifications and Skills Education:

Completion of an accredited PA program, typically a master's degree

Licensure:

Valid PA license in the state of practice

Skills:

Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, communication, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively in healthcare teams

Experience:

Clinical rotations or prior healthcare experience is often preferred

Pay:

$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
