Negotiable Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Emergency Medicine APP you will, serve as a critical lifeline in Lisbon, ND, a close-knit community, practicing broad-spectrum Emergency Medicine and directly responsible for initial patient assessment, treatment, and stabilization for a vast, appreciative service area. Essential Areas of Responsibility Provide care to patients of all ages - children to geriatrics Emergency Room consults, triage and medical care Round, admit and manage health needs of patients with a significant range of complex and co-morbid disease conditions Manages all inpatient care and provides prompt attention to all patients admitted to the hospital, including diagnosis, treatment, and the performance of medical procedures (within your scope of practice) Collaborate and coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing, health care personnel, and care team members for patients in the hospital and ER Employing quality and process improvement practices to make the hospital a safer place and improve patient outcomes Ten (10) shifts per month is full-time. Each 24-hour shift is unrestricted call and APPs can expect to provide 10-12 hours onsite patient care. Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible Employer Job Requirements Required Will have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program Will have Emergency Room or Inpatient experience of one (1) year or more, required Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Hospital Medicine ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or CALS certified Will have the qualification to successfully obtain an unrestricted state license and DEA Interested in a shift-based condensed work schedule [Ten 24-hr shifts is full-time] Have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrate the ability to work independently Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing patient demographics and needs We are especially interested in candidates that demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism, and adhere to and exhibits our core values of Compassion, Inclusion, Integrity, Excellence and Collaboration. Where You'll Work Lisbon, ND has a population of approximately 2,200 residents. Nestled in the Sheyenne National Grasslands, Lisbon is a gateway to Fort Ransom State Park and the southern terminus for the River Valley National Scenic Byway. The Sheyenne River flows freely through town, highlighting the area's excellent outdoor recreation offerings and framing the quaint downtown, which features a refurbished opera house and unique shopping and dining. The Lisbon Opera House is a tribute to the community's can-do spirit. This 1890s structure on Main Street is open for tours and community events. Two doors down, the Scenic Theater has shown movies continuously since 1911 and proclaims itself the oldest continuously running theater in America. Outside downtown, racing enthusiasts can watch drivers go round and round the quarter-mile Sheyenne River Speedway or get in nine (or more) holes of golf at Lisbon Bissell Golf Course. Farther out, adventure seekers will find the Sheyenne State Forest, Fort Ransom State Park, and the byway. Kayakers can paddle the gentle Sheyenne River at the park, and a drive along the byway features wooded hillsides unique to this part of North Dakota.
