An Emergency Room Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in emergency rooms or emergency departments, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations.
APP- Emergency Medicine at Trinity Health - Minot, ND Physician Assistant engages in patient care in the Emergency Trauma Center (ETC) and other settings using specialized knowledge, judgment and skills. Conducts examinations of the ETC patients to assess and respond to the patients condition. Works under the oversight of a supervisory physician.
Qualifications:
Licenses and Certifications Required Current ND Board Physician Assistant License required. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training, with certification every two (2) years, preferred. ACLS certification, with certification every two (2) years, preferred. Educational Requirements Education as required to obtain and keep current ND Physician Assistant license. Experience Requirements Extensive knowledge of established professional medical concepts, principals and practices, required. Experience in specialized medical areas, preferred.
