Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Physician Assistant to join a physician-led General Surgery team on a locum tenens basis in Neptune City, New Jersey. This role is primarily outpatient and focuses on General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Endocrine Surgery. You'll work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
Compensation:
$115 per hour What the schedule looks like Practice mix: ~90% outpatient, 10% inpatient
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30
PM Call:
none What you'll be doing Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient surgical clinic Provide preoperative and postoperative care for general, oncology, and endocrine surgery patients Perform patient assessments, create treatment plans, and arrange follow-up care Assist with inpatient consultations and postoperative management as needed Work collaboratively with surgeons, nursing staff, and other team members to ensure high-quality care Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and ongoing care Keep accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record What we're looking for Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Active New Jersey Physician Assistant license NCCPA certification If you're a skilled PA who enjoys a mostly outpatient surgical practice and values teamwork and patient-focused care, this could be a great fit.
