Certification ACLS Certification Master of Science Master of Physician Assistant Studies DEA License Advanced practice provider Physician Assistant License Full Job Description NeuroSpine Plus, a spine-focused neurosurgical private practice located in various locations throughout New Jersey, is looking to hire an energetic and self-motivated Physician Assistant to join the team. New graduates welcomed to apply. The candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Independently assess both new and established patients in an outpatient setting Perform focused history & physicals Discuss and develop appropriate treatment plans with surgeon(s) Order appropriate labs/radiology tests/referrals to sub-specialists Write pre and post operative documentation within an appropriate time frame after evaluations Prescribe medications according to New Jersey and New York State laws, including controlled substances with DEA authorization Maintain national and state board certification and licensure Maintain annual CME requirement for re-appointment and privileging Work collaboratively with the attending physician(s) & PA team to maintain timely and respectful communication Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement the appropriate treatment plan of care for our patients Assist in surgical cases Receive and reply to patient and care team's questions and requests The candidate must:
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Possess willingness to learn and adapt; able to receive constructive input effectively
  • Travel to various locations and surgical facilities to perform daily job responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies New Jersey Physician Assistant License New York Physician Assistant License (willing to obtain) New Jersey DEA License New Jersey CDS License
