Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care for medical and surgical patients in a Level 3 trauma community hospital with a 15-bed census, 5-bed ICU, and 22 inpatient psychiatry beds. Serve a diverse patient population with a low-volume ED and high acuity, delivering specialty services in cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, and other areas. Manage critical and emergent cases, including stroke patients. The hospital is a designated primary receiving stroke center and has a geriatric-accredited emergency department. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, and psychiatry specialists, to provide comprehensive care. Work in a hospital with a 10-bed Department of Correction (DOC) unit, one of only three in southern New York, offering specialized care for incarcerated individuals.
