g., ANCC) or PA (e.g., NCCPA) is required Prior experience in Radiology or procedural settings preferred but not required Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as a part of a team, and proficiency in patient assessment and care management About the Role New York Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Interventional Radiology team, offering a unique opportunity to play a hands-on role in the patient experience before, during, and after advanced imaging procedures. In this position, you will work closely with radiologists and clinical staff to support procedural care, including radiology contrast supervision, pre-procedure patient outreach, post-procedure follow-up, and IV starts, helping ensure a safe, efficient, and patient-centered experience. The role combines clinical assessment, procedural support, and patient education, making it ideal for an APP who enjoys both direct patient interaction and procedural medicine. This opportunity is well suited for a provider who values collaboration, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to a growing specialty service within a multidisciplinary practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Radiology Contrast Supervision:
Monitor patients receiving contrast for radiology studies, ensuring safety and addressing any concerns or reactions during the process.
Pre-Procedure Calls:
Contact patients prior to scheduled radiology procedures to provide instructions, answer questions, and assess readiness for the procedure.
Post-Procedure Follow-Up Calls:
Reach out to patients after procedures to monitor for any side effects or complications, ensuring appropriate aftercare and addressing concerns.
IV Starts:
Provide assistance in starting IVs for radiology procedures or other medical needs as required.
Collaborative Care:
Work closely with the radiology team, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including pre
  • and post-procedure assessments, procedure notes, and any interventions performed.

Base Salary Range :
between $140,000
