We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our orthopedic team. This is an opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment while providing comprehensive orthopedic care to patients across the continuum—from initial evaluation and diagnosis through treatment, follow-up, and recovery. The Orthopedic APP will work closely with orthopedic physicians, clinical staff, and other members of the care team to provide high-quality, patient-centered musculoskeletal care.

The Orthopedic APP will:

Evaluate patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including obtaining histories and performing physical examinations. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the orthopedic physician. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic testing. Provide follow-up care for orthopedic injuries, conditions, and surgical patients. Perform orthopedic procedures within the APP's training, competency, privileges, and scope of practice. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, rehabilitation, and recovery. Coordinate care with physicians, rehabilitation services, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation. Participate in quality improvement and other activities supporting the orthopedic service.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Current or eligible for New York State licensure and registration as a PA or NP. Current national certification as applicable. Eligible for credentialing and clinical privileges. DEA registration required or ability to obtain, as applicable. Orthopedic experience preferred; [new graduates may be considered / experienced candidates preferred]. Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to collaborative patient care.
