Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Emergency Medicine Jones Memorial Hospital | Wellsville, New York Delphi Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide Emergency Department coverage at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly autonomous provider who is comfortable practicing independently in a low-volume rural emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive emergency medicine experience and be confident managing a broad spectrum of emergent conditions with limited resources. Position Overview As an Emergency Medicine APP, you will provide comprehensive emergency care to patients while working independently in a community hospital environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and the ability to manage critically ill patients when necessary. This is a 60-90 day assignment beginning on October 22nd, averaging 10-14 night shifts per month with the option to extend. Compensation $125-$135 per hour Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications Malpractice coverage provided Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department Develop and implement patient management and treatment plans Perform emergency procedures as indicated Stabilize and manage critically ill or injured patients Collaborate effectively with hospital staff and consulting providers Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and wellness initiatives Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Promote a safe, efficient, and patient-focused care environment Qualifications Licensed Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Provider Minimum of 8 years of Emergency Department experience as an APP Demonstrated ability to work independently in an Emergency Department setting Extensive experience managing: Cardiac and respiratory emergencies Trauma patients Airway management Central line placement Emergency procedures and resuscitations Code situations Comfortable practicing in a fast-paced environment with limited resources Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is a confident, highly skilled emergency medicine provider who thrives in a rural hospital setting and is capable of delivering exceptional patient care with a high degree of autonomy.
