Physician Assistant
- Hand & Upper Extremity
Clinic and Operating Room The Essentials:
Schedule:
Full-Time (40 hours per week) | Monday- Friday | Operating Room and Office
Locations:
Fairlawn, Hudson, Green and CantonSpecialties:
Hand and Upper Extremity What You'll Do:
- Promotes and maintains patient's health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician; assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performs physical examinations; obtains medical histories.
- Functions as first assistant in the operation room including surgical exposure, suturing and closure; prepares patients for surgery, including positioning, skin preparation and administration of local anesthetic; performs pre

- operative patient education to patients and their families.
- Prescribes needed medicines to patients; writes appropriate orders, including those for narcotics, stimulants, and depressant drugs; executes appropriate protocols including prescribing, as necessary, within the scope of license; provides follow-up and health adjustment of medications in accordance with established protocols or in response to maintenance care including the appropriate specific instructions from the attending Physician.
- Communicates with referring or primary care physicians regarding patient care and treatment; works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, case managers and other advance practitioners.
- Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational and experiential growth opportunities; may train and supervise medical residents engaged in specific clinical activities.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
Physician Assistant Degree required.Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in field or profession preferred.License/Certification:
