Physician Assistant -PAC This is a position for a graduate of a physician assistant program. We are looking for a practicing physician assistant to be a full time provider in a busy urgent care located in Astoria, Oregon. Our work days are usually 10 to 12 hours. It is common for providers to work 3 days in a row and then have 4 days off during the week. This position requires someone with self motivation, good organizational skills, excellent team work and an outstanding bedside manner. Our Urgent care typically sees from 16 to 35 urgent care patients per day in a rural setting The chief complaints are quite varied with numerous injuries and illness from both industrial and private settings. We see patients from 6 months old to 90+ years old in our typical work day. Support staff is provided for Physician assistants and physician coverage is provided by our owner physician. Some of your days will be working in concert with the physician seeing urgent care patients of all varieties. Other days will have you working independently in an urgent care setting with phone contact coverage from the physician. Experienced providers are preferred, but depending on training we will consider other levels of expertise. We recognize that Astoria may not be a home base for many providers, so consideration of housing in Astoria is a part of our employment package.
