Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic DME Fitter to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient service, anatomy, and physiology, with the ability to accurately assess patient needs and fit orthopedic durable medical equipment (DME). This role requires a detail-oriented professional committed to delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring proper device fitting, and maintaining compliance with medical standards. The Orthopedic DME Fitter will serve as a vital link between patients, healthcare providers, and suppliers to optimize mobility and quality of life. Looking for either Full Time or Part Time. Benefits eligbile for Full Time or Part Time working minimally 30hrs weekly. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand patient needs and medical histories related to orthopedic devices. Measure, fit, and adjust orthopedic DME such as braces and supports to ensure proper fit and function. Educate patients on device usage, care instructions, and safety precautions to promote optimal outcomes. Ensure all equipment is properly sanitized, maintained, and stored according to safety standards. Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and DME technology to enhance patient care. Experience Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to musculoskeletal conditions. Proven ability to provide excellent patient service and support throughout the fitting process. Understanding of medical terminology related to orthopedics and rehabilitation therapies. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
