Physician Assistant - Part Time Express Urgent Care - Dickson City, PA Express Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team on a part-time basis. We are an established, independent urgent care practice serving the Scranton/Dickson City community. We offer a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment with experienced clinical support staff and on-site diagnostic capabilities. Experience Required Previous Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience is required. This position is best suited for a PA who is comfortable working independently, managing a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries, and maintaining efficient patient flow in a busy urgent care environment. Scope of Practice Our providers evaluate and treat a wide variety of adult and pediatric urgent care conditions, including: Respiratory and ENT illnesses Abdominal and gastrointestinal complaints Urinary tract infections Skin infections, rashes, and abscesses Musculoskeletal injuries Sprains, strains, and fractures Lacerations and wound care Acute eye complaints Headaches and other acute neurologic complaints Minor burns Allergic reactions Occupational medicine and work-related injuries Other common acute and urgent medical conditions Providers should be comfortable with: Independent patient evaluation and medical decision-making Interpretation of X-rays Laceration repair Incision and drainage Splinting and management of minor orthopedic injuries Appropriate referral and escalation to the Emergency Department when indicated Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license NCCPA certification Current DEA registration or eligibility Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience required Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills Comfortable practicing in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and patient-care skills Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Schedule Part-time position Flexible weekday and weekend opportunities are available. Weekend availability is strongly preferred. This can be an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA looking to supplement an existing position with consistent part-time urgent care shifts.
