Description:
Job Summary Dermdox is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our staff. This is a full-time position, but will interview part-time candidates as well, with no call or weekend responsibilities. We offer full benefits plus an exceptional compensation package.
Essential Functions:
You will be supported by one or two medical assistants who take care of all the administrative work involved in the patient encounter as well as set up and clean up for all procedures Screen patients to determine need for medical attention Review patient records to determine health status Take a patient history Order appropriate laboratory studies and diagnostic testing Identify normal and abnormal findings on history, physical examination and commonly performed laboratory studies Diagnosis of common dermatologic conditions, both benign and malignant Make decisions regarding appropriate management and treatment of patients including treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions Order and dispense prescription medication Perform skin cancer screenings There is the option to include cosmetic procedures if interested Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education, Skills, and Experience:
Valid PA license in Pennsylvania Dermatology experienced preferred Strong clinical and diagnostic skills DEA license Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Analytical thinking skills with the ability to investigate and diagnose Competence with technology and ability to use various tools in the clinical setting Professionalism with excellent communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
