What they do
A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Physician Assistant PA-C -Cardiothoracic Surgery Shift:
Full time - 40 hours /week. 4 -10 hour shift schedule Monday - Friday with Weekend and Holiday rotationExperience:
1. Two (2) years recent experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred. 2. Recent Board eligible graduate are eligible but clinical rotation in CT Surgery is Required. 3. Endoscopic Vein Harvesting highly preferred.Education:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from an accredited institution required. 2. Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program. 3. Must complete courses of training for both basic and advanced cardiac life support.Licensures/Certifications:
Must be certified by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) and Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.Benefits
