Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon for ER call coverage across multiple hospital sites, including one Level III trauma center. This is a full-time position involving 24-hour call shifts, approximately 8 days/month, call from home (not in house) coverage at multiple hospital locations, including Level III trauma site. Benefits included. The ideal candidate will have experience in general and bariatric surgery, be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, and demonstrate strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care. This position offers significant professional growth and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced surgical team specializing in weight loss procedures. Responsibilities Perform general and bariatric surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and laparoscopic cases Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care Conduct hospital rounds and oversee inpatient surgical patients, including bariatric cases Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for surgical patients Monitor postoperative progress and manage complications as needed Collaborate with Physician Assistants, Surgical Assistants, and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols, HIPAA regulations, and surgical standards Skills Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities Excellent surgical technique and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to high-quality patient outcomes and safety
Pay:
$375,000.00 - $425,000.00 per year
