What they do
A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

SMCS-Valley Administration Position Overview:
Responsible for all tasks that lead to the successful recruitment of new physicians. Keeps the candidates and the customer well informed and ensures that all referencing and credentialing paperwork is completed and referred in a timely manner, while working closely with the physician recruiter. Assists in developing philosophies, plans, strategies and tactics that insure the success of the physician recruitment process.

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
HS Diploma:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent education/experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN
Demonstrated work experience in communications, human resources, healthcare or a related field General experience in Customer Service in a professional setting
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Written and verbal communications and customer service skills with the ability to listen well. Customer service skills and organizational skills. Must have the ability to handle confidential information. Must be able to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines. Attention to detail, work at a high level of accuracy, work with timelines and problem solve in real time situations. General skills in computer applications and office equipment including MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
