Our Optometry office is looking for a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Optometric Technician & Patient Care Coordinator to join our close-knit independent optometry practice. We're a small, fun team that takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, beautiful eyewear, and a warm, personal experience. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and wants to be an important part of a growing practice.
THE SCHEDULE
Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Flex Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PMNO WEEKENDS!
WHATYOU'LL DO
This is a patient-facing, multi-functional role that combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support. Patient Care & Front Desk Welcome patients and create a warm, personalized experience Check patients in and out Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient communications Verify insurance and assist with benefits questions Collect payments and maintain accurate patient records Help coordinate an efficient patient flow throughout the office Optometric Technician Responsibilities Prepare patients for their eye examinations Perform pre-testing and diagnostic testing Take accurate medical and ocular histories Assist doctors with clinical procedures and patient education Learn and utilize modern optometric technology and diagnostic equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment Team & Patient Experience Work closely with our doctors, opticians, and front-office team Help patients understand their eye care and treatment recommendations Provide exceptional customer service from the moment patients walk in the door Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and fun office cultureWE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS
Warm, personable, and genuinely enjoys helping people Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable multitasking in a busy medical environment A strong communicator and team player Dependable, professional, and positive Comfortable learning new technology and clinical skills Interested in growing their knowledge of optometry and patient care Optometric or ophthalmic experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Previous experience in healthcare, medical reception, optical, or customer service is a plus. WHY US?
