Job Description

Join a team providing care at a brand-new Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) in Hendersonville, TN. This long-term locum opportunity offers a modern, efficient clinical environment, strong onsite support, and flexible scheduling. Schedule 12-hour shifts (days 7:00 AM-7:00 PM; nights 7:00 PM-7:00 AM) Mix of morning, mid, and night shifts; weekends and nights required No on-call responsibilities
Assignment:
1 year+ (ASAP start) Highlights Competitive hourly compensation commensurate with ED experience 100% reimbursed travel (flights, hotel, rental car, mileage, tolls, parking) Full support team each shift: nurses, techs, and APPs Two-day orientation (shadowing + EMR training) Dedicated 24/7 locum consultant for credentialing, scheduling, and ongoing support Practice setting Newly opened FSED designed for efficient, patient-centered care Collaborative team culture focused on rapid evaluation, stabilization, and transfer as needed Clinical responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with acute illnesses and injuries Perform standard emergency procedures and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs) Stabilize and coordinate transfer of higher-acuity patients Maintain accurate, timely documentation Candidate requirements Board certified or eligible (ABEM preferred); EM experience required Consideration given to Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with ED experience New graduates welcome Active Tennessee medical license or ability to obtain Comfortable performing standard ED procedures Location Hendersonville offers a scenic lakeside lifestyle just outside Nashville, with abundant outdoor recreation, dining, and entertainment—an excellent balance of work and quality of life.
