This is an exciting opportunity for a PA who loves surgery, values exceptional patient care, and wants to play an integral role in both the surgical and clinical sides of a busy practice. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of surgical experience , with previous experience in plastic surgery strongly preferred. We are looking for someone who is positive, hardworking, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Above all, we want someone who genuinely loves taking care of patients and is excited about the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. The Role This position will have a diverse mix of responsibilities across the operating room, hospital, and clinic, including: First assisting in cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures Assisting with hospital-based surgical care, inpatient rounding, and perioperative patient management Providing pre- and postoperative care in the clinic Independently seeing appropriate new patients and follow-up patients Evaluating postoperative concerns and assisting with ongoing patient management Performing in-office procedures within the PA's scope of practice and experience Providing patient education and helping guide patients through their surgical and recovery journey Collaborating closely with the surgeon, clinical staff, hospitals, and other members of the patient's care team Helping support an efficient, organized, and patient-centered practice Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Is a licensed or license-eligible Physician Assistant Has 5+ years of experience in a surgical specialty Has plastic surgery experience, preferably including both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery Is comfortable functioning independently in the clinical setting while working closely with the surgeon Is confident and capable in the operating room Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Is energetic, efficient, hardworking, and willing to hustle when the day gets busy Brings a positive attitude and a team-first mentality Has a genuine passion for plastic surgery and providing an exceptional patient experience Is interested in becoming a long-term and trusted part of the practice Previous experience caring for breast cancer or other oncology patients is a significant plus , particularly experience working with patients throughout their cancer treatment and reconstructive journey. Aesthetics & Growth Opportunities For a candidate interested in aesthetics, there is also an opportunity to develop or expand an injectable and aesthetic practice , including neurotoxins, fillers, and other nonsurgical treatments. This aspect of the position can be tailored to the candidate's experience and interests and is not required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surgical PA looking for a position with significant clinical involvement, operating room experience, autonomy, and room for professional growth within plastic and reconstructive surgery.
