Plano, TX 75093 Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Critical Care / Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care and emergency department setting, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations in the critical care and emergency department. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs. Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and other procedures. Provide advanced life support and emergency interventions as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities. Qualifications Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC, AANP) or Physician Assistant (e.g., NCCPA). Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or a related acute care setting preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in high-acuity environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
