My medical practice focuses on providing 24-hour accessible, high-quality medical care in a professional clinical setting. Team members collaborate closely to deliver patient-centered services, emphasizing clear communication and compassionate care. My practice offers an environment where medical professionals can build lasting relationships with patients and contribute to community health. General Description of Role. While my Practice is diverse, the majority of my patients are middle aged to elderly with cardio-pulmonary issues. Therefore, I am seeking an experienced Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with an active Texas license, who is capable of examining patients presenting with (among other things) cardio-pulmonary issues, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing medication (as permitted by applicable Texas laws and regulations). Role Description. The Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) will provide direct patient care in an on-site office setting part-time two (2) days per week. However, the Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) is expected to take telephone calls on a 24-hour basis. Responsibilities include conducting patient histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans under physician supervision. The role also involves performing medical procedures within his/her scope of practice, prescribing medications as permitted, and providing patient education on diagnoses, medications, and preventive care. The Physician Assistant (PA-C) will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to coordinate care, ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, and support efficient clinic workflow. Additional duties may include assisting with follow-up care, triaging patient concerns, and participating in quality improvement activities. Qualifications. Ø Current experience as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with an active Texas license to practice, or eligibility to obtain one before the start date. Ø Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including history taking, physical examination, and development of treatment plans. Ø Ability to perform routine outpatient procedures appropriate to a Physician Assistant (PA-C) role and the cardio-pulmonary specialty focus of the practice. Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Ø Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and accurate, timely clinical documentation. Ø Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to clinical and ethical standards. Ø Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a busy Concierge Internal Medicine Practice. Ø Completion of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) program; previous outpatient or primary care cardio-pulmonary experience is preferred.Work Location:
