TBD/hour, depending on experience and qualifications Bilingual Spanish/English preferred About the Position We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our orthopedic urgent care practice in San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time position with a consistent Tuesday-Saturday, 12:00 PM-8:00 PM schedule , providing convenient access to orthopedic care for patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedics, urgent care, emergency medicine, sports medicine, or a related clinical setting and be comfortable evaluating and treating a wide range of orthopedic injuries. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal complaints Diagnose and manage conditions such as fractures, sprains, strains, joint injuries, and sports-related injuries Obtain and interpret appropriate diagnostic imaging, including X-rays Perform minor procedures as appropriate, including splinting, casting, wound care, and suturing Develop treatment plans and provide patient education Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with orthopedic specialists when indicated Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment Work collaboratively with physicians and other members of the clinical team Qualifications Current and unrestricted Texas PA or NP license National certification appropriate to the position Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the clinical team Previous experience in orthopedics, urgent care, emergency medicine, sports medicine, or a related specialty preferred Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Preferred Skills & Experience Candidates with experience in the following are especially encouraged to apply: Orthopedic urgent care Sports medicine Fracture and injury evaluation X-ray interpretation Splinting and casting Suturing and wound care Joint injections or other orthopedic procedures Occupational injuries Acute musculoskeletal conditions Schedule Tuesday-Saturday 12:00 PM-8:00 PM Full-time, 40 hours per week.
