A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Epic (inpatient and outpatient) Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in the OR, ICU, and outpatient clinic settings. Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) for CABG procedures. Assist in surgical cases, manage pre- and post-operative care, and coordinate follow-up with patients and families. Collaborate closely with the attending surgeon, fellow PAs, nursing staff, and the broader care team to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care. Participate in call rotation and maintain readiness for emergent cases as required. Qualifications Open to an exceptional new grad with surgery and cardiac training rotations and interest in a career in cardiothoracic surgeryPreferred Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA in Cardiothoracic Surgery , including proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting .Training:
Demonstrated competence in OR and ICU procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff. Proven ability to deliver compassionate, efficient, and thorough patient care. Current NCCPA certification and Virginia PA license (or eligibility).
