Locums - Bellingham, Washington, NP/PA Critical Care Surgery Opening Clinical Role ASAP start 6-month assignment 3.0 FTE coverage need First day reserved for orientation Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Trauma and Acute Care Surgery patient population Approximately 18 patients per day No call Schedule & Coverage 3-4 shifts per week Current shifts include: 6:30 am-4:30 pm 6:30 am-6:30 pm Coverage includes at least 2 weekdays plus weekend availability Clinic Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 am-4:30 pm Clinic schedule may be covered by the permanent team if needed Practice Model & Clinical Expectations Inpatient rounding and admissions Respond to trauma activations and provide initial response in the ED when the Trauma Surgeon is unavailable Admit patients to the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery service, including ICU patients Surgical first assist Prepare for, manage, and provide follow-up in post-discharge clinic May work independently at times; APP support available on some days Diabetic education available onsite Epic proficiency required Requirements & Credentialing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant BLS, ACLS, and ATLS required BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicable Washington license not required at time of presentation What's great about Bellingham, Washington?
