What they do
A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description
Experience Primary care experience:
Demonstrated experience in outpatient or primary care settings. Patient assessment & diagnosis: Proficiency in performing comprehensive history taking, physical exams, and differential diagnosis.Chronic disease management:
Experience managing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, asthma, and other common chronic illnesses.Acute care management:
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and manage acute illnesses and injuries. Preventive care & health promotion: Administering immunizations, screenings, and counseling on wellness and lifestyle modifications.Pharmacologic management:
Knowledge of prescribing and managing medications safely across the lifespan.Procedural skills:
Experience performing basic office procedures (e.g., wound care, suturing, incision & drainage, EKGs, point-of-care testing). Newly Licensed Graduates are encouraged to apply.
