Join a collaborative team working at Tacoma General / Allenmore Hospital Open to Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of one year experience post graduation Work autonomously in an inpatient setting to include rounding, ED consults, inpatient consults, discharging First assist as needed with robotics experience is preferred Contact Sheree Keen for more information @ sheree.keen@multicare.org Position Summary MultiCare is seeking a nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality inpatient care across Acute Care Surgical Services and Urology. The role provides overnight coverage for inpatient and ED consults, rounding, minor bedside procedures, first-assisting for urgent/emergent cases as appropriate to scope, and seamless care coordination with on-call surgeons and day teams. This provider will practice in a highly collaborative, integrated environment and contribute to the growth of General Surgery and Urology services with community partners across the Puget Sound region. Responsibilities Core (shared) Responsibilities Perform inpatient and ED consults; round on admitted patients; manage active patient lists overnight Place pre- and post-operative orders and conduct/complete comprehensive histories & physicals (H&Ps) per privileging Provide patient and family education; ensure diligent follow-up consistent with community standards Manage in-basket communications and coordinate cross-coverage handoffs to day teams Respond to pages/messages via PerfectServe and other approved channels in accordance with MultiCare policies ACS Responsibilities Assist with urgent/emergent general surgery cases consistent with privileging and surgeon direction (first-assist) Support bedside procedures and resuscitation/initial management workflows for surgical patients Participate in APP/staff onboarding and ongoing training as requested by the service Urology Responsibilities Perform Urology inpatient/ED consults and rounding, including minor bedside urologic procedures within scope and competency Coordinate urgent operative cases with the OR; facilitate pre-op planning and post-op care for urologic patients.
