An Emergency Room Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in emergency rooms or emergency departments, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations.
SSM Health in Fond du Lac Express Clinic is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a PRN/Fill-In role to join our busy team of providers. The department is open Monday through Friday 730am - 730pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am - 4pm.
Minimum Requirements:
Unrestricted Wisconsin Physician Assistant License or RN and NP License. Unrestricted Active Wisconsin DEA. Prior experience practicing as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine is required. The candidate for this position should be comfortable diagnosing and treating children and adults with minor to complex medical problems as well as be experienced in laceration repair and acute fracture care (splinting).
