Provide inpatient general surgery call coverage during scheduled dates Be on 24-hour beeper call with the potential for callbacks Collaborate with hospital staff in a busy medical setting Maintain compliance with all licensing and credentialing standards Follow policies for clean file requirements, including active AK license and current DEA Complete orientation and provide emergent surgical support as needed Work efficiently within a hospital environment ensuring patient safety and quality careWhat You Need:
Valid and active Alaska medical license DEA registration in Alaska Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications Clean professional record: no settlements, DUIs, restrictions, or medical board actions Prior general surgery call coverage experience preferred About theAssignment:
This role involves providing inpatient surgical emergency coverage for a leading facility in Kodiak, Alaska, during specific scheduled periods. Providers will be responsible for responding to patient needs during their on-call shifts, ensuring high-quality care in a dynamic environment. The hospital seeks providers with active licenses and clean files who can start promptly and work efficiently under 24-hour call conditions.
