Job Description

Radiologist Employment Type:
Contracted or Part-Time Background :
Cahaba Medical Care is a Community Health Center (FQHC), accredited as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH ) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Joint Commission, that provides medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services to diverse underserved communities. We are committed to increasing integration and coordination of behavioral health and primary care. This is an exciting, fast paced practice with a strong mission and commitment to providing high quality care.
Purpose :
CMCF is seeking a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist to contract with or work part-time with our clinical care team. In this role, you will analyze, interpret, and report on diagnostic medical images to evaluate patient health, identify conditions, and support clinical decision-making across departments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Image Interpretation:
Review and interpret X-rays, and ultrasounds, with a focus on obstetric ultrasounds.
Clinical Reporting:
Generate detailed, accurate diagnostic reports for referring physicians within established turnaround times.
Interdisciplinary Consultation:
Collaborate with primary care doctors, surgeons, and specialists to determine appropriate imaging modalities and discuss critical findings.
Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Active and unrestricted Alabama Medical License.
Certification:
Board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
Residency:
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency program.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Enterprise PACS, RIS, and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
