Job Description

Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a full-time Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician for a busy urgent care clinic in Red Mesa, AZ. Provide comprehensive, walk-in acute care for adults and children, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and minor procedures. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting labs and imaging, prescribing medications, coordinating follow-up, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR. Collaborate with nursing and support staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care. Ideal candidates are board-certified or board-eligible, comfortable with urgent presentations, and committed to high-quality, culturally sensitive service. Responsibilities Provide urgent care evaluation and treatment for adult and pediatric patients Perform minor procedures and wound care in an urgent care setting Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies Prescribe and manage medications and treatment plans Document encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up planning Coordinate care and referrals with primary care providers and specialists Adhere to clinical protocols, quality, and safety standards Participate in clinic scheduling, on-site coverage, and occasional extended hours Required Skills Urgent care medicine Adult and pediatric acute care Minor procedures and wound management Diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Medication management and prescribing Patient education and counseling Care coordination and referrals Infection control and clinical safety protocols
