ASAP Position Overview We are seeking an Acute Care General Surgeon / Trauma Surgeon to join its surgical team at a Level III Trauma Center in Apple Valley, California . This opportunity is ideal for an experienced surgeon as well as a new graduate coming directly out of residency or fellowship who is looking to build experience in acute care surgery and trauma in a collaborative hospital environment. The surgical team manages a broad range of trauma and general surgical cases and provides care alongside experienced senior surgeons who are available for collaboration, assistance, and mentorship. Clinical Responsibilities Evaluating and managing acute surgical and trauma patients Performing emergency and acute care surgical procedures Managing a broad range of general surgical and trauma cases Providing appropriate preoperative and postoperative patient care Participating in the hospital's trauma and acute care surgery services Performing surgical procedures appropriate to the surgeon's training and privileges Collaborating with other surgeons, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals Participating in scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Providing backup call coverage when applicable Qualifications MD or DO degree Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency/fellowship Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery Eligibility for a California medical license Active DEA registration Ability to obtain hospital privileges Appropriate surgical skills and experience to manage acute care and trauma cases Level III Trauma Center experience is preferred but not required. New graduates completing residency or fellowship are welcome to apply.
