Responsibilities include treating patients during a 4-hour shift weekly or biweekly, focusing on medically complex cases, work-related injuries, and facilitating return to work and functional recovery. Collaborate with medical and therapy providers, communicate with employers, and participate in case management to improve patient outcomes. Qualifications include licensure in the state, graduate from an accredited MD or DO program, board certification or eligibility in General Surgery, unrestricted DEA license, and medical malpractice insurance.
